President Donald Trump arrived at Kennedy Space Center on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, to mark the opening of MAX POWER, a two-day aerospace expo on Nov. 7 and 8, 2026, and announced CapeWeek, a new global gathering and air show on the Kennedy Space Center runway where the Space Shuttle once landed.
MAX POWER, described by NASA as America’s newest aerospace technology expo and air show, takes place at Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Nov. 7 and 8, 2026. NASA announced the event on Aug. 14, 2026, and said it would use the Apollo Saturn V facility and the Launch and Landing Facility leased by Space Florida. Trump said the event would get bigger every year, and the expo included an air show, a Moon Base update, and a look ahead at Kennedy Space Center.
The expo splits into three paid sections called Air Dot Show, UP.Summit, and Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex access. Each park requires its own ticket, so guests can pick any combination of the three experiences at Kennedy Space Center.
NASA is working with external collaborators Air Dot Show, Space Florida, UP.Summit, Delaware North, and Purpose Entertainment to produce MAX POWER. Partners provide the funding and structure rather than only federal appropriations, so they sell tickets through their own sites to cover costs for the MAX POWER expo.
Activities span Kennedy Space Center including the Apollo Saturn V facility and the Launch and Landing Facility currently leased by Space Florida, with activities at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex next to the center. The expo offers interactive exhibits, expert talks, center tours, technology demonstrations, aircraft flyovers, and astronaut meetups. NASA says the two-day expo serves students, families, industry partners, and space enthusiasts of all ages at Kennedy Space Center.
The Air Dot Show at MAX POWER includes military aircraft and flyovers by NASA, the Department of War, and the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. Air Dot Show presents park one. UP.Summit showcases innovations in transportation, including autonomous vehicles, drones, and space exploration technologies at Kennedy Space Center. UP.Summit presents park two.
NASA said visitors need a bus ticket to reach UP.Summit from the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, and it comes with the ticket; free shuttles run all day between UP.Summit and the air show at Kennedy Space Center. U.S. media and digital content creators may attend MAX POWER at Kennedy Space Center if they apply by NASA’s Office of Communications deadline.
At 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, NASA will hold a Moon Base news conference streamed live on NASA’s official X account and YouTube. The same afternoon, NASA Deputy Administrator Matt Anderson will give an update on the planned U.S. Space Academy at MAX POWER at Kennedy Space Center.
The event featured Artemis II astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Jeremy Hansen at Kennedy Space Center on Nov. 6, 2026. Trump said he had awarded the Artemis II crew the Congressional Space Medal of Honor three months earlier.
Trump said Artemis III would carry astronauts into orbit next summer on a mission to test new lunar landers. He said American astronauts would land on the Moon before his presidency ends. He also said the United States would return American astronauts to the Moon before the end of his term. This was part of his address at MAX POWER on Nov. 6, 2026, at Kennedy Space Center.
Jared Isaacman called CapeWeek the premier exhibition of American aerospace capabilities at Kennedy Space Center beside the runway President Trump revived. Isaacman added that the United States will return astronauts to the Moon and build an enduring lunar presence, including a Moon base.
Trump said CapeWeek would be the world’s largest airshow in 2028 and would exceed the Paris Air Show. “A show the likes of which has never been done before,” Trump said. CapeWeek will run from March 27 to April 2, 2028, at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Trump said the former space shuttle landing strip would become a venue for American aerospace companies to reveal new products and projects. CapeWeek organizers expect yearly attendance to eventually exceed 500,000 people. CapeWeek is described as the Great American Aerospace and Technology Expo. NASA Spox marked the announcement on Nov. 7, 2026, linking CapeWeek to the runway where the Space Shuttle landed.
