Comments on My Blog are welcome. To keep the discussion useful and safe, please follow these rules.
The rules
- Be civil. No harassment, hate speech, threats, personal attacks or discrimination.
- Stay on topic. No spam, advertising, self-promotion or repeated links.
- Do not post other people’s personal information, and do not pretend to be someone else.
- Nothing unlawful: no defamation, no content you do not have the rights to, no malware or phishing links, and no content that encourages or explains how to commit crimes or cause harm.
- No sexually explicit or graphically violent content.
How moderation works
- First-time comments, and comments with several links, are held for moderation before they appear.
- Comments are filtered automatically for spam on our own server.
- We may approve, hold or remove any comment, close discussions, and stop people who repeatedly break these rules from commenting. Decisions are made at our discretion, and we have no obligation to publish any comment.
- We do not edit comments to change their meaning; a comment that breaks the rules is removed instead.
Responsibility
Comments are the views of the people who post them, not of My Blog, and we do not check or endorse them. You are responsible for what you post. By commenting you agree to our Terms of Use, including the licence you give us to display your comment. How we handle your name, email address and IP address is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Reporting a comment
To report a comment that breaks these rules or the law, or to ask about one of your own comments that was removed, use our contact page and choose “Comment or content report”. Please include the article’s address, the commenter’s name as shown, and why you are reporting it. For copyright complaints, see our Copyright Policy.
