Deposition Sciences announces new 12″ × 30″ sunshade® tape format

Deposition Sciences, Inc. announced in Oct. 2026 that it released a 12″ × 30″ version of its Sunshade® Tape thermal‑control material (a thermal‑control tape). The tape provides solar reflectance, stays stable and durable in harsh conditions, remains lightweight and bendable, and lowers power needs while shielding delicate parts from heat.

Deposition Sciences, Inc. said the 12″ × 30″ format allows engineers to integrate thermal protection into larger spacecraft and ground systems more easily and simplifies application across broad surfaces. Justin Mosier, senior manager of space materials at Deposition Sciences, Inc., said customers requested greater versatility and the company met that request.
